A couple of months ago, DirectCVP decided to advertise on this blog. I wasn’t familiar with this company, so I decided to check them out.
And my conclusion is, that if you want to advertise or publish ads on your site using pay per click, DirectCPV may be a good alternative for other advertising networks like Google Adwords/Adsense, Yahoo Publisher Network, Kontera and Chitika.
Now, before I continue, let me emphasize that I have never used their PPC services. Therefore, I can not endorse them from my own experience and I’m not an affiliate (I only use the link they provided me with the ad).
All I want to do here is point you to them as an alternative ad network. You have to do your own due diligence, ok?
DirectCPV is a Canadian advertising network. They claim to have over 10 million users worldwide.

DirectCPV delivers targeted contextual advertising using the Pay Per Click (or Cost Per View – Pay Per View) method.
Options at DirectCPV are site (url) or keyword targeting, or getting visitors by country or channel.
Some of these keywords or sites will be more popular than others. The more popular the keyword or URL, the higher you need to pay per click to receive the same portion of traffic.
You can also set the frequency at which you want unique visitors to see your ads. Be sure to control on your spending by setting a budget before you start bidding.
I personally love contextual advertising, because it shows the most relevant ads to a targeted audience. A disadvantage is that these ads come as a pop-ups or pop-unders, the latter being the less intrusive ones in my book.
In their promotional video they claim that all pay per click keyword bids start ‘at a reasonable 1.5 cents’. The more you bid for a certain keyword, the more your ads will be shown.
You can also bid on url’s.
They key to a successful campaign is to participate in multiple URL and keyword ppc’s that are relevant to your market.
To participate in DirectCPV is completely free. There are no start-up costs or setup fees.
A minimum deposit of $100.00 applies, which may deliver a lot of traffic for keywords that you can bid $ 0.015 for.
A 30 day money back guarantee is in place. Their support and experienced staff looks promising, but the real value of these things can only be established in cases of emergency.
I would have liked a lower deposit or another, cheaper way of giving this service a try. And that’s very well possible, because DirectCPV advertises with a bonus. If you use this link, they’ll give you a bonus of $25.
So, if you have seventy five bucks available for your PPC advertising campaign, DirectCPV may be a good choice.
Publishers can also profit from DirectCPV. You can sign up to participate in their network. Then you will have access to the CPV advertiser database that delivers XML files that you can use to show their ads on your site.
Revenues are shared on a 50/50 basis and can increase to 65% depending on monthly gross revenues. Minimum payout is $100.
Again, you have to do your own due diligence, but to me, DirectCPV looks like a great PPC alternative, certainly because it’s a new company, so it probably isn’t as crowded there as in other, more established ad network services.
The key here is to get in early to profit from affordable PPC bids.
